He is survived by: his wife Ruth Vander Bie (Lawrence); his children, Jeffrey Vander Bie (Nancy), Susan DeVries (Craig), Kimberly Vander Bie and Kerri Coles (Robert); his grandchildren, Bruce Vander Bie (Stacey), Tiffany Brouwer (Bill), Matthew DeVries (Erin), Andrea DeVries, Haven Vander Bie, Adam Coles (Alexandria), Nathan Coles (Jessica) and Zachary Coles; and his brother Bill Vander Bie (Carla). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeshore Memorial Services (11939 James St, Holland, MI 49424). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
