She is survived by : her husband Gus Vander Veen; her children, Bonnie Batjes of Zeeland, Rhonda Weir (Mark) of Florida, Greg Vander Veen (Julia) of West Olive and Eric Vander Veen (Jodi) of Mason, MI; her grandchildren, Case Mokma, Chloe Vander Veen, Ryan Vander Veen, Gavin Vilchez and Noa Vander Veen; and her siblings, Ben Spoelstra of Washington, Marlys Grevengoed of Grandville, MI, Ed Spoelstra of Minnesota and Eleanor Stephens (Lee) of Washington Funeral.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Noordeloos Christian Reformed Church Benevolent Fund or Mission Fund.
