He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Skiver and Ruth Skiver; his wife Dorothy Skiver; and his sisters, Mary Geroux (Robert) and Virginia Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Colaianne (Robert), Sharon Simpson (Robert), Marilyn Wollschlager, David Skiver (Linda), Patricia Savage, Sean Skiver (Christine) and Juliane Gonyea (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, James, Michael, Brent, Robert, Marc, Rebecca, Brad, Kyle, Doug, Jessica, Jannel, John, Alana, Kevin, Erik, Justin, Caroline, Zach and Ryan; and his sister Judy Marcinkiewicz (late Gene).
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Uht Funeral Home (35400 Glenwood Rd, Westland, MI 48186). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Department of Veterans Affairs in honor of Donald's service in the United States Air Force. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
