She was predeceased by: her parents, James Denholm Laird and Helen Hall Laird; her husband Arnold E. Johnson; and her brother Donald Laird. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Rebecca Johnson, Gregory (Vicki Scroggins-Johnson), Gordon (Allison) and Jeff (Bonnie Eslinger); her sister-in-law Janet Johnson; and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Lila, Elise (Matthew Walter), Sterling and Nicole. She is also survived by great grandchildren; cousins; and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the memorials to Michigan Humane Society and Pet a Pet Club.
