He is survived by: his wife Christine Bierstetel; his daughter Angela Bierstetel (Andy Steel); his grandchildren, Alicia Simon (Evan), Ella Simon, Sam Muirhead, Caroline Muirhead, Juliana Steel and Andrew Steel; his great grandchildren, Marshall Simon, Harry Simon, Virginia Simon, Ted Simon and Alma Simon; his siblings, Leon Bierstetel, Monica Hersch, Paul Bierstetel (Kathy), Alvin Bierstetel (Jan), Jim Bierstetel (Jane) and Shirley Halfman; and his siblings-in-law, Susie Bierstetel and Donald Klein. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel (210 N Westphalia St, Westphalia, MI 48894). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (201 N Westphalia St, Westphalia, MI 48894).
