It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Douglas Neitzke of Wheeler, Michigan, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Neitzke and Ethel Neitzke (Bowden); and his siblings, Barbara Sherwood, Fred Neitzke and Gene Neitzke.
He is survived by: his wife Cheri Denman; his children, Bill Neitzke (Lori) and Tammy Neitzke; and his grandchildren, Ryan Neitzke (Amanda) and Rachel Neitzke.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lux and Whiting Funeral Chapel (156 W Saginaw St, Breckenridge, MI 48615). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (10020 E Monroe Rd, Merrill, MI 48637).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Park Foundation, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gratiot County Commission on Aging or MyMichigan Hospice.
