With sadness, we share the passing of Edith Joan Thompson of White Cloud, Michigan. Edith, born on September 20, 1939, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Bement and Beulah Bement; her husband David Thompson; and her siblings, Gordon, Bonnie, Jean and Milt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Geigle (Gary) and Darla Wilks (Jeff); her grandchildren, Gary Jr. (Nicole), Mike (Jeni), Lydia, Jeffery (Wendy) and Jessica (Charlie); and her great grandchildren, Michael and Mya.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crandell Funeral Homes - Fremont (7193 W 48th St, Fremont, MI 49412). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Lincoln Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Newaygo County Compassion Home, an organization close to Edith's heart.
