He is survived by : his wife Denise Kleis (Backstrom); his daughters, Elizabeth Barber and Stephanie Kleis; his grandsons, Brent Kleis and Kaleb Maynard; his brother Steve Kleis; his parents-in-law, Allen Backstrom and Sandra Clevinger; his siblings-in-law, Scott Backstrom and Sheryl Kleis; and his nephew Cody "Jib" Boyd. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends.
