He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mae Yaklin (Disspain) and Otto Nicholas Yaklin; and his sister Marie Davis. He is survived by: his wife Verna Yaklin; his children, Saundra Yaklin (Mac Rogers), Deanne Yaklin (Nils Guttenplan), Sharla (Dan Buza), Eric (Kerry Yaklin) and Amanda Yaklin (Becky Quinn); and his grandchildren, Kira, Braden, Rease Buza, Yann, Lukas Guttenplan and Milo Yaklin (family: Theresa, Matt McKillop, Rick, Gigi Cikowski).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home (5929 S Main St, City of the Village of Clarkston, MI 48346). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Parish Church (9086 Hutchins Rd, White Lake, MI 48386).
