He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond A. Sr. Simmons and Alice Simmons (Saippa); his children, Raymond Allen and Linda Favero (Jim); his siblings, James Simmons, Ronald Simmons and Alicia Schmalz; his brother-in-law Ted Schmalz; his brother Dick; his sister-in-law Sandi Niemi; his nephew Teddy Schmalz; and his grandson Justin Weirauch.
He is survived by : his wife Gloria Simmons (Niemi); his daughters, Gloria Sheck (Ray Lemire) of Palmer, Julie Soumis (Raphael) of Chassell, Alicia Burgess (Craig) of Marquette and Paula Hubert (Rod); and his siblings, Marguerite Koski (Al) of Negaunee and Brian Simmons of Wakefield. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
