She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus VanPatten and Eva VanPatten; her husband Francis Smith; her son Steven; and her grandchildren, Timmy, Tommy, Jimmy and Elizabeth.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Anderson (Roy), Mike Smith (Kathy) and Ann Zimmer (David). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
