It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lathrop of Whitehall, Michigan, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Lathrop to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lathrop and Myrtle Lathrop (Bester); and her siblings, John Lathrop, Margaret Lathrop, Helen Lathrop, Eugene Lathrop, Floyd Lathrop, Patrick Lathrop, Melvin Earl Lathrop, Gordon Lathrop, Myrtle "Dolly" Strong, Leon Lathrop and Norman Lathrop.
She is survived by: her siblings, Paul Raymond Lathrop, Deanna "Dodie" Hall, Rosella Holt and Cheryl Lathrop; her children, Christopher Halbower (Deborah), Patricia O'Connor and Amanda Pretzer (Paul); and her grandchildren, Corinne Roessler (Gary) and Tyler Beckman. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Harbor Hospice.
