He was predeceased by: his parents, David McCarthy and Eva McCarthy; his son Donald Craig; his daughter-in-law Peggy McCarthy; his son Brian Jay McCarthy; his sister Sharon; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Mitchell and Karen McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Elaine McCarthy; his daughters, Linda Rostar (Edward), Brenda McCarthy Wiener (Daniel) and Michelle Warda (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Peter McCarthy (Amanda), Adam McCarthy (Julia), Kylee Reinke (Alex), Dillon McCarthy (Janelle), Damien Rostar, Marisa Pelto (Matt Fechik), Brendan Pelto, Morgan Jennings (Michael) and Chandler Warda (Shelby); and his brothers, David McCarthy (Liz) and Dennis McCarthy.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (711 Alice St, Whitehall, MI 49461). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
