He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Piper and Patricia Piper; and his siblings, Gregg Piper and Gwenda Chick. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Piper; his children, Dean Piper (Jamie) and Jay Foreman (Jon); his grandchildren, Sydney Piper, Sean Piper, Kohl Foreman and Molly Barrett (Dayton); his brother Glen Piper (Teresa); and his close friend Winston V.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to the Hospice House of Mid Michigan.
