He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Gilmore and Isabel Gilmore; and his sisters, Mairead and Maire. He is survived by: his wife Christine Gilmore; his children, Maureen Asta (Dominic), Kathleen Jahnke (Christopher), Michael Gilmore (Jennifer) and Kevin Gilmore (Sarah Moulik); his grandchildren, Madeline Walt (Adam), Olivia Asta, KellyJahnke, Albert Asta (Allia), Benjamin Jahnke, Abigail Gilmore, Ryan Gilmore, Isabelle Gilmore, Kennedy Gilmore, Cameron Gilmore and Cullen Gilmore; his great grandchild Sean Walt; and his sister Geraldine. He is also survived by his family, and his many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 9:30 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (46325 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48374).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or The Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
