He is survived by: his wife Kathy Cotter (Steffke) of Beal City; his daughters, Krista Ranta (Jim) of Troy, Maria Larrance (Pat) and Melissa Phillips (Andy) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Caroline and Lincoln Ranta of Troy; his siblings, Gary Cotter (Janet) of Harrison, Richard Cotter (Jane) of Beal City, Wayne Cotter of Beal City, Dean Cotter (Cindy) of Beal City and Michele Hatfield (Jim) of Lake Isabella; his parents-in-law, Fred and Florence Steffke of Beal City; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Steffke of Mt. Pleasant, Bill Steffke (Michelle) of Beal City, Steve Steffke (Krisha Horger) of Beal City, Mike Steffke (Barb) of Beal City, Joe Steffke (Jill) of Beal City, Mark Steffke (Amy) of Beal City, Chris Steffke (Natalie) of Cedar, Judi Steffke (Greg Bellinger) of Lake Isabella and Denise Griggs (Rich) of Muskegon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
