With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Stanger of Woodland, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2025 at the age of 66. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Stephen leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his brother Mike Ayres; and his brother-in-law Pat Campeau. He is survived by: his daughters, Amber Stanger and Ashley Petrie (Dan); his grandchildren, Alexus DeMann (Cody), Kyle Petrie and Tatum Petrie; his great grandchild Presley DeMann; his siblings, Judi Campeau, Dan Ayres (Joy) and Jeanne Ayres; and his friends, Tim Bishop (Sue) and Randy Schreiner (Jami). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
