Phyllis leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Phyllis’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Phyllis will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her husband John; and her mother Stella Swartzback. She is survived by: her niece JoAnn Chick (late Gary); and her cousins, Edwina Stien (late Charles), Tim Snellman (Mary Lou), William Snellman (Mary Anna) and Victoria Szczerowski (Edward).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery (32163 W Huron River Dr, New Boston, MI 48164).
