He was predeceased by : his parents, Margaret Griggs and Lloyd Griggs. He is survived by : his wife Judy; his children, Lorrie Clark (Jeff) and Patrick McGrath (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Kyla (Max), Madison (Bryn), Patrick Maxwell, Noah, Jack and Joseph; his great grandchild Violet; and his brothers, Lloyd Griggs, Jr., Robert and Peter.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Molnar Funeral Homes - Nixon Chapel (2544 Biddle Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (344 Elm St, Wyandotte, MI 48192). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
