He was predeceased by: his wife Denise Diane Scott; his parents, William Scott and Beverely Scott; his parents-in-law, Beverly Jean DeYoung and Jerome DeYoung; his brother William Scott III; and his brother-in-law John Way.

He is survived by: his children, Tara, Bill James, Daniel Scott, Julie Baker, Jana and Brandon Vugteveen; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jaylen, Austin, Connor, Kiersten, Makenzie and Victoria; his sister Sandy Way; and his siblings-in-law, Jamie, Dave Patchin, Janet, Tom Renton, Jack DeYoung, Dyan DeYoung and Ken Max. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
