She is survived by: her husband Craig Bates; her children, Kristine Verwoerd, Chandra Childs and Andrea Jacobs; her sister Sarah Smith; her grandchildren, Taylor Frazee, Jae Corse, Leanne Verwoerd, Maddie Childs and Joey Verwoerd; her great grandchildren, Lorelei Frazee and Nora Childs; Don Verwoerd. She is also survived by her extended family, dear friends.
