It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herman Nelson Schellenberg (Wyoming, Michigan), who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Sr. Schellenberg and Nellie Schellenberg; his brothers, Robert and Charles Schellenberg; and his son Steven Schellenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; and his children, Patti Balkon (Dennis), Timothy Schellenberg, Joni Thayer (Tom) and Bill Schellenberg (Rachel). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Eighth Reformed Church (841 Burton St SW, Wyoming, MI 49509). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In honor of Herman and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or Corewell Health Hospice.
