He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeGier and Latisha DeGier; his former wife Suzanne DeGier; his wife Penelope DeGier; his daughter Cynthia Sundstrom; and his sisters, Josie Nell DeGier, Jan Syrek and Millie Gumbs.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jim DeGier (Anita), Tom DeGier, Marie DeHommel, Josie Ritsema (Paul) and Nancy Mascorro (Rudy); his children, Sara Baylis (Aaron), Anthony Hoover (Mandy), Jamie Sanborn (Mark), Laura Hoover and Angela Wismar; his grandchildren, Avery Baylis (Sidney), Addison Baylis, Jacob Sundstrom, Emma Hoover, Ava Hoover, Adam Hoover, Nicholas Sanborn (Emily), Kaitlyn Sanborn, Gabriel Angoli and Scarlett Lockyear; and his great grandchildren, Crew Baylis, Sutton Baylis and Warren Sanborn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
