She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Matthews and Thelma Matthews (Mesler); her husband Jay A. Darling; her children, Sue Carpenter and Charles Herr; her siblings, Betty Winer, Richard Matthews, Carl Matthews, Robert Matthews and Shirley Matthews; her grandchild Jamie King; and her son-in-law Bruce Gordon.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Forgie (Jim), Jay Darling Jr. (Jill), Laura Gordon and Kimberly Murray (Pat); her brother Raymond Matthews; and her son-in-law Bob Carpenter. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
