He was predeceased by: his parents, Marv Hoekstra and Fran Hoekstra; his brother John Hoekstra; and his sister-in-law Nancy Mellema. He is survived by: his friend Kathy; his wife Kathy; his children, Rebecca, Scott Tiemeyer, Dan and Erinn Hoekstra; his grandchildren, Kadin and Camden Tiemeyer; his children, Keegan, Zoe and Liesel Hoekstra; his siblings, Joyce (Larry Hanford), Jim (Lori Hoekstra), Helyn (Tommy Tompkins) and Tim (Camille Hoekstra); and his siblings-in-law, Joel, Mary Mellema, Greg Mellema, Heidi and Mark Pengra. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
