She was predeceased by : her husband Edward Spurrier; her former life partner Roy Trimble; her parents, Raymond Trice and Beatrice Trice; her sister Pearl Sikes; and her close friend Lyle Etcher.

She is survived by : her children, William Spurrier of Charlotte and Patricia Wheeler (Lloyd) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Cindy Faber, Carey Gyger, Rani Young, Colleen Woolpert, Steve Young and Jamie Young. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
