We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2024, at the age of 87, Russell T. VanLaan (Wyoming, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his former life partner J. Joyce (Haagsma); his parents, George and Helen; and his siblings, Bill and Arelyne Kamp.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria (Shade); his children, Debbie, Jacque Adair, Pam, Norm VanDeRoer, Lyn and Todd Dunn; his grandchildren, Nick, Aly VanDeRoer, Brett, Carrie VanDeRoer, Drew, Lauren Snyder, TJ, Daisi Synder, David Meyerholtz and Nichole Adair; his great grandchildren, Ellie Joy, Anna Grace, Lane Russell and Emma Avery; his stepchildren, John Shade, Sue and Greg Nielsen; his stepgranddaughters, Jennifer and Michelle; and his brothers, George VanLaan, Carl and Leslie VanLaan. He is also survived by 6 step-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
