With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendel Allen Merica Sr. (Wyoming, Michigan), who passed away on August 27, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wendel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Constance Arlen Merica (Potter). He is survived by: his children, Wendel Merica Jr. (Lonnai) and Cynthia Kornoelje (Daniel); and his grandchildren, Wendy Wood (Matt) and Cory Merica (Crystal Denney). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
