He was predeceased by : his parents, George Champion and Mary Champion (Bristol). He is survived by : his children, Elisabeth Champion, Amanda Gilbert of Fife Lake and George M. Champion of Lansing; his grandchildren, James, Kate, Allysa, Kayley and Alex; his great grandchild Grizzly; and his siblings, Terry (Linda) and Denise Champion.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Emanuel Redeemer Lutheran Church (11089 Yale Rd, Yale, MI 48097).
