It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byron Schimpp of Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Schimpp and Mayme Schimpp (Holman); his brothers, Donnie Schimpp, Russ Schimpp and Gary Schimpp; and his brother-in-law Roger Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Schimpp; his children, Byron "Butch" Schimpp (Tricia), Bonita Marie Hunter (Glenn), Becky Becker (Robert Stubblefield), Steve Schimpp (Theresa), Teresa Gasiciel (Eddie) and Tim Schimpp (Michele); his grandchildren, Ida Holliday (Hank), Emily Nolan, Jeffrey Hunter, Adrienne Hunter, Sarah Schimpp, Joseph Schimpp, Chloe Savvides (Chris), Andrew Schimpp and Isabel Schimpp; his great grandchildren, Colby Nolan, Abigail Nolan, James Savvides and Alex Savvides; his siblings, Judy Todd (John), Joyce Anderson, Barb Rach (Larry) and David Schimpp (Jocelyn); and his sisters-in-law, Ardis Schimpp and Carmen Schimpp.
