With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith McDaniel of Ypsilanti, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Edith's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Edith has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Watkins and Sadie Watkins. She is survived by: her husband Bobby McDaniel; and her children, Timothy McDaniel (Shelia), Cindy Smith (Russell) and Matt McDaniel. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 1 brother.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Janowiak Chapel (320 N Washington St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Highland Cemetery (943 N River St, Ypsilanti, MI 48198).
