He is survived by: his wife Paula Johns; his son Shane (Brooke); his close friends, Douglas Wright and George Panzoff; his former wife Elizabeth Stubbe-Zapico; his children, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Lisa (Erik), Thomas (Kelsie) and Laura (Mason); and his grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandra, Michael, Jaelyn, Ciara, Aneilia, Conor, Roman, Sadie, Julian, Bailey, Averie and Tommie Jo.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
