He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Columbus Pennington and Hazel Sutton Moshier Pennington; and his sister Betty Kingsbury. He is survived by: his wife Carole Cecile Lynch Pennington; his daughter Amy Pennington-Boyce (Todd); and his siblings, Thomas Pennington (Joyce), Kay Springgay (Alan) and James Pennington (Jo).
