He was predeceased by: his father Robert Thompson; and his sister Jacqueline Thompson. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Thompson (Gerhard) of Phoenix, AZ; his son Robert Thompson (Dana Russo) of Peachtree City, GA; his granddaughter Sydney Thompson; and his siblings, Rebecca McGinnity of Ft. Worth, TX, Denise Deemer (William) of Eldorado Hills, CA, Valerie Sutinen (Matthew) of Goodyear, AZ and Howard Thompson of Cambodia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
