He was predeceased by: his parents, Hedgie Kress and Albert Kress. He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Hamilton (Hank) and Michael Kress (Karen); his siblings' children, Kathleen DiGiorgio (Tony), Benjamin Hamilton (Emily), Christopher Kress and Kelly Castro (Brian); his aunt Marjean Hefke; and his cousins, Carole Hair, Linda Lampman, Wanda Magiera, Pam Burtch, Elaine Simon and Susan Mallory.
