It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael George Thomas of Ypsilanti, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Thomas and Helen Thomas (Nihra); and his brother Jim Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Susan Vandermeer (Thomas) and Scott Thomas; his grandchildren, Aaron Austin, Casey Lyons and Jordan Austin; his great grandchild Reese Lyons; his sisters, Maria Krzesowski (Larry) and Anita Ellison (late Mel); his sister-in-law Grace Thomas; and his close friend Staci Steffani-Fuller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
