We announce the death of Patricia (Trish) Leighton (Ypsilanti, Michigan), who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 72. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Leighton; her children, Michael Leighton (Susanna) and Lesley Hunt (Andrew); her grandchildren, Brianna, Alyssa and Michael Jr.; her mother Laquita Hicks; and her sisters, Denise Love (Bruce) and Charla Walker (Wendell). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stark Funeral Home (101 S Washington St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to Hospice Care of Michigan or a charity of your choosing in honor of Patricia’s beautiful life.
