Richard Sampier Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Sampier of Ypsilanti, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana Sampier and Frieda Sampier (Wendt); his siblings, Clarence Sampier, LeRoy Sampier, Charles Sampier, Dorothy Woerst, Raymond Sampier and Shirley Sampier; and his son-in-law Gary Ross.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Sampier Jr. (Patricia), Bill Sampier (Teresa), Linda Sampier Ross and Dave Sampier (Martha); his grandchildren, David Towne, Heather Reilly (Brian), Ashley Renee Sampier, Frankie Monaco, Ashley Kathleen Sampier, Jake Sampier, Christie Sampier, David Ross and Tyler Sampier; his great grandchildren, Logan, Piper and Will Monaco; and his grandchildren, Joey, Grace and Jackson Reilly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Carpenter Road Chapel (2400 Carpenter Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
