She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Bryant and Hattie Bryant (Banks); her siblings, Maggie Patterson, Edna Bryant, Julia Mae Bryant, Dorethea Alexander, Theodore Bryant and Johnnie Bryant; her nephews, Michael Bryant, Richard Bryant, James Bryant and Terry Bryant; and her niece Shirley Alexander.

She is survived by: her sons, Derrick Phillips and Zarie Phillips (Latoya); her grandchildren, Niya Phillips, Layla Phillips and Devin Phillips; and her siblings, Dorothy Hooks, Hattie Wells, Berteal Jackson, Gloria Matthews and Shirley Bryant.
