He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Cheever and Lila Cheever (McFall); and his siblings, Russell Cheever and Kathryn Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Smith; his son Lonald "Lonnie" Cheever; his sisters, Judy Hallada of Ann Arbor and Pam Howard of Kalamazoo; and his in-laws, Polly Polzin (Don), Kathy Flentjie and Dale Smith (Linda). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
