He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Ankton and Roosevelt "Tip" Ankton; his brothers, Henry Ankton and Jerry Ankton; and his cousins, Johnny Neal, Verdie Carr Jr. and Leonard Harris.

He is survived by: his siblings, Diann Epps (Michael) of Little Rock, AR, Wanda Faye Browning of Arkadelphia, AR., Randy Quarles Sr. (Marshall), Louis Ankton of Dalark, AR and Vernon Ankton (Finas) of Benicia, CA; his sister-in-law Minnie Ankton (Mary Ankton) of Dalark, AR; and his cousins, Rena Burroughs, Glennie Neal, Oldest and Lou Nauden of Little Rock, AR. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
