It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia (Hines) Basler (Ypsilanti, Michigan), born in Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Hines and Eva Hines (Dent); her husband Leonard Basler; and her daughter Helen Basler. She is survived by : her children, Charles Leonard and Arden Basler; her granddaughter Kami Basler (Samuel Stanley); her brother James Hines (Janet); and her sister-in-law Mildred Basler. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (201 N River St, Ypsilanti, MI 48198). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels, Senior Citizens Center, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, or the American Rosie the Riveter Association.
