He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hassevoort and Adriana Hassevoort (Kloosterman); his brothers, Ken Hassevoort and Harley Hassevoort; and his in-laws, Anita Hassevoort, Bob Hoffman and Don Nauta.

He is survived by: his former wife Luanne Hassevoort; his sons, Eric (Jodi Hassevoort) and Jeremy (Anne Hassevoort); his great grandchildren, Corey Hassevoort, Hannah Markowski, Nicole, Corey Vandewege, Austin Hassevoort, Cody, Nikki Hassevoort and Tyler Hassevoort; his sisters, Phyllis Hoffman and Pauline Nauta; and his sister-in-law Betty Hassevoort.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beaverdam Christian Reformed Church (5166 64th Ave, Hudsonville, MI 49426).
