She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Steenwyk and Alena Steenwyk; her brother Clarence; and her sister-in-law Ethel Steenwyk. She is survived by: her husband Henry C. DeWeerd; her children, Linda VanKley (Dan), Julie Taylor and Dennis DeWeerd (Patti); her grandchildren, Rin VanKley (Salem), Jon VanKley, Anna VanKley, Ben Taylor (Vanessa), Kaylee Taylor, Noah Taylor, Ryan DeWeerd and Sophia DeWeerd; her great grandchildren, Elaina Taylor, Titus Taylor, Siena Taylor, Levi Taylor and Maria Taylor; and her brother Henry Steenwyk (Judi).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Overisel Reformed Church (4724 142nd Ave, Holland, MI 49423). A burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zutphen Cemetery.
