He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kooi and Kay Van Der Kooi (Veldheer). He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Beelen (Joe), Lois Van Der Kooi (Larry Cleveringa), Daniel Van Der (Vicki), Ruth Nagelkirk (Kevin), Mark Van Der (Alicia) and Anna Cook (Dave). He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and 35 great-nieces and great-nephews.
