He was predeceased by: his wife Bonita Nienhuis; and his brother Vern Nienhuis. He is survived by: his children, Robin, Bud Miedema, Jodi, Paul Stevens, Penny and Jim Houtman; and his grandchildren, Phil, Tina Michmerhuizen, Ashley, Brandon Den Hartigh, Sarah Chatman, Jon, Brittany Houtman, Lauren, Ryan Kraai, Hannah, Jesse Heerdt, Jenna, Fernando Rodriguez, Haley Houtman, Eric, Stephanie Miedema, Mitch and Sarah Miedema. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Community Reformed Church (10376 Felch St, Zeeland, MI 49464).
