With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Ashby of Zeeland, Michigan, born in Pontiac, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on July 25, 2024 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Rev. James Steiner; and his niece Anne Steiner. He is survived by: his wife Norma O'Brien; his sons, Seth, Benjamin, Elijah, Isaiah, Emmanuel, Liam, Linus, Samuel and Theodore; and his siblings, Lynne Krainer (Robert), Marjorie Steiner, Jack Ashby (Mary Pat) and Terry (Douglas). He is also survived by ses his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be blessed by donations in memory of Bill Ashby to the Mariucci Family Beacon House in Marquette, MI, 200 South Seventh St. Marquette, MI 49855. (https://upbeaconhouse.org.) The Beacon House fed, housed, and counseled Norma, family, and friends for almost three weeks while Bill was in the ICU.
