Ekensteen (Adrian, Minnesota), born in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph V. Ekensteen and Gladys Ekensteen (Lewis); and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Schauer and Larry Goetz. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Goetz of Thornton, CO, Julie Ekensteen (Lila Johnson) of Minneapolis, MN, Randy Ekensteen (Mel) of Ham Lake, MN and Danny Schauer of Littleton, CO..

“Larry was a very good friend of mine and a gromsman at our wedding. We worked together as cooks at Country Kitchen, and later an after hours tree service. Larry loved playing cards and talked about playing as a pro. You could say we had the same sense of humor. A good joke or a bad one we still laughed. We fished, hunted, and both knew the Mississippi River like the back of our hands. Larry was also a part of our family. and will both miss him very much. Tom & Nancy Golden.”
