He was predeceased by : his parents, Melvin Johnson and Mildred "Sally" Johnson (Leek); and his siblings, Dwight Johnson, Merlyn Johnson and Mary Larson.

He is survived by : his wife Kathy Johnson (Phillips); his children, Dwayne Johnson (Julie) and Nicole O'Day; his siblings, Vernon Johnson (Debbie), Daniel Johnson, Burton Johnson, Joyce Lael (Jim) and Jean Price (Rick); his sister-in-law Deb Johnson; his grandchildren, Andrew Johnson (Cristi), Justin Johnson (Rozi), Jared Hutchison and Elise Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Levi and Grant Johnson. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
