With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Arlene Mehus of Aitkin, Minnesota, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on February 23, 2023 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Powell and Alice Powell (Blood); her husband Melvin Mehus; her daughter Cynthia Lee Bohannon; and her siblings, Kenneth Powell, Merle Powell, Curtis Powell, Audrey Nelson and Artis Hoiland.

She is survived by : her son Maylan Mehus (Donna) of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Mariah Mehus of Nashville, TN and Maylan "Daniel" Mehus of Nashville, TN; and her sisters, Doris Hoiland of Brandon, SD and Darlene Reit of Dell Rapids, SD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
